Flameproof Nu-Cast - Cast Iron

VHT GSP998 Flat now cast iron flameproof. Matt anthracite paint for use on exhausts, manifolds, heat shields and turbo housings and other parts that get very hot. Also suitable for use on stoves, patio fireplaces and barbeques.
This outlet paint is heat resistant up to 1083 ° C.

First you start with the degreasing of the product, for this we recommend the Motip M600 degreaser.
Then sand the part lightly with 600 grit sandpaper.
For best results, treat bare material first with the VHT SP118 exhaust primer.
After the application of the color lacquer, you can post-treat the part with the VHT SP115 clear outlet paint.
After spraying, let the lacquer dry for 24 hours at room temperature
Before the first use, bake the paint according to the instructions below.
ATTENTION: the application of the primer, color lacquer and any clear lacquer must be done "wet-in-wet". The VHT paint should therefore not be allowed to dry longer than 5 to 10 minutes before the next layer is applied. For example, have you let the primer dry longer? Wait a few days, sand the primer and then continue.

The baking of this outlet paint ensures the heat resistance and must be done after the paint is completely dried. This can be done after a day but also after a week or a month, as long as it is done before the first use.
The baking of VHT outlet paint can be done in two ways:

Bake off by idling the engine (on cars and motorcycles):

1. Allow the engine to idle for 10 minutes
2. Let it cool for 20 minutes
3. Allow the engine to idle for 20 minutes
4. Let it cool for 20 minutes
5. Use the vehicle for 30 minutes under normal conditions.

Baking in an oven:

1. Heat the part to 120 degrees for 30 minutes
2. Allow 30 minutes to cool down
3. Heat the part to 200 degrees for 30 minutes
4. Allow 30 minutes to cool down
5. Heat the part to 340 degrees for 30 minutes
